Catalonia is an autonomous community of the Kingdom of Spain, located on the northeastern extremity of the Iberian Peninsula. It consists of four provinces: Barcelona, Girona, Lleida, and Tarragona. The capital and largest city is Barcelona, the second-largest city in Spain and the seventh-most populous urban area in the European Union. It is well known for the lively beach resorts of Costa Brava as well as the Pyrenees Mounta
